Welcome, my name is Thomas Spencer Archer.
I am a candidate for Sierra County Superior Court Judge.  I graduated from the University of California at Davis and obtained my law degree from McGeorge School of Law.  Long time residents of the Sierras, my wife, Elizabeth, and I have made our home in Sierraville for the past ten years.

I offer 35 years of experience in the legal profession in our region and have committed myself to problem solving for my clients.  Personal and professional integrity have been the source of my success.  Honesty, respect, civility and responsibility are values I hold in high regard.

I have been appointed by the court to conduct arbitrations and settlement conferences.  My experience includes substantial civil and criminal trial experience having tried multiple cases to verdict.  I have briefed and argued appeals before the Third District Court of Appeals and handled complex litigation cases.  I have resolved numerous cases as a private mediator and achieved the highest rating for legal skills and ethical practice by my peers. 

I look forward to bringing my skills, background and experience to the bench.  I will serve our community with honor, respect and integrity.

About Thomas S. Archer
I have supported, advised and been active with non-profit organizations, including Camp SignShine for Deaf and Hearing Impaired, InnerRhythms Dance Theatre and Trails and Vistas. I currently sit on the Board of the Truckee River Watershed Council and have served Ducks Unlimited and the Lions Club in the past.

I have always been active and enjoy spending time outdoors fly fishing, hunting, skiing and cowboyin'.
